New subtleties are arising about Jay Cutler's DUI capture on Thursday night in Franklin, Tenn.
Cutler, 41, supposedly back finished one more vehicle in midtown Franklin on Thursday, Oct. 17 and endeavored to run away from the area prior to proposing to pay the driver of the vehicle $2,000 in the event that he didn't call the police, as per charging reports acquired by Individuals.
According to a statement that the police provided to PEOPLE on Friday morning, the reality TV star and retired NFL quarterback was taken into custody after they observed that he smelt of alcohol and had "bloodshot eyes."
The capturing official writes in the oath that police then, at that point, looked through Cutler's vehicle and found a rifle, as well as a stacked handgun, as per the Williamson District Tennessee report.
Cutler was charged with a DUI, illegally possessing a weapon while intoxicated, implied consent, and failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision, according to a Franklin Police Department spokesperson who spoke with PEOPLE on Friday morning. Cutler was delivered Thursday night on a $5,000 bond, the representative said.
According to the affidavit, the arresting officer stated that he "noticed Mr. Cutler staggering, swaying, and heavy-footed while walking" at the crash scene.
According to the officer's report in the document, "Mr. Cutler's eyes were bloodshot, glassy, red/pink, watery, and dilated." He also spoke thick-tongued, slurred, and mumbled.
The official noticed that Cutler "had a mind-boggling scent of a cocktail radiating from his individual" and at first denied drinking any liquor before the crash happened. " The officer writes in the affidavit, "I then informed Mr. Cutler that I am an Advanced Roadside Impairment Enforcement Officer and knew he was lying to me." Mr. Cutler responded, "I asked him again how much alcohol he had consumed, and he said a little bit."
Cutler then, at that point, declined a field balance test, as indicated by the official, who then, at that point, arrested him and later gave a blood court order. According to the affidavit, the former star of Very Cavallari had his blood drawn at the Williamson Medical Center to check for alcohol.
According to the arresting officer, a patrol officer searched Cutler's truck after he was taken into custody and discovered "a rifle in the back seat as well as a loaded Glock handgun in the center console."
The officer wrote in the affidavit that Cutler "denies being in a crash, but there was a small dent in the rear of the other vehicle" and that Cutler's truck "has a winch in the front," which prevented police from seeing any potential damage from the alleged crash.
For clarification, PEOPLE has contacted Cutler's representatives.
Cutler spent 12 NFL seasons with the Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins, and Chicago Bears. In 2013, he wed Kristin Cavallari, a Laguna Beach star who later became the focus of E! between the years 2018 and 2020 for its Very Cavallari program.

Cavallari and Cutler, who share three kids together — children Camden, 11, Jaxon, 9, and little girl Saylor, 8 — petitioned for legal separation in 2020, refering to "hopeless contrasts" and "unseemly conjugal direct" as explanations behind their separation.
Cavallari stated that Cutler was "guilty of such inappropriate marital conduct as renders further cohabitation unsafe and improper" in their divorce petition and that "any misconduct alleged or implied against her" was "in response to and/or as a result of misconduct on [Cutler's] behalf."
Cutler is expected in court in regards to the DUI and weapon ownership charges on Jan. 16, 2025.
